What’s the average LinkedIn post views for beginners?

Well, this depends on a lot of factors, but if you want some really basic math, then here it is..

I’ve posted hundreds of things on LinkedIn and had quite a few videos/posts go viral. According to my calculations, if you’re posting a video, you can expect about 18 views per “like.”

So if you get 10 likes, you should expect to get about 180 views. 

The problem is, how do you get those likes as a LinkedIn beginner?

I cover that in other blog posts, but to whet your appetite for now, you just need to focus on getting about 10 solid connections who will interact with all your content.

If you can do that, then you’re well on your way to thriving on this platform.

There’s good news. Status updates yield even more likes per views. For every like on a status update, you’ll get about 35 views in the feed.

So, if you get 10 likes on a status update, that’s about 350 views.

I Don’t Know What The Average LinkedIn Post Views Should Be

Here’s the thing. I don’t know what the average LinkedIn post views should be. I don’t know how you’ll do as a beginner. I can’t say you’re going to get an average of 200 views on your stuff without knowing how many connections you have and how many people interact with your content.

That second part is the key. How many people interact with your posts on a consistent basis? For me, I have a few hundred people who interact with my videos on a consistent basis. They catapult me to an average of about 20,000-30,000 views per video, which is way more than I get on Youtube.

The biggest thing I can urge you all to do is try to get a base of 10 loyal fans. Every person who likes or comments on your posts should be treated like they just paid your student debt off.

Send them a personal message–send them a voice message, even, and tell them thank you.

You better bet they’ll keep coming back for more with you.

And if you can get about 10 likes consistently, I know getting a few hundred views of your content won’t be a stretch.
