What’s The LinkedIn Connections Limit In 2021?

What is the LinkedIn connections limit in 2021? Well, look at you. You must be a big deal if you’re asking such a question. What do you have? 1,000 connections? Maybe 2,000 connections?

Or perhaps you’ve seen the “big dogs” on the platform who have thousands of connections and are wondering what the limit is?

Well, let’s talk about it.

LinkedIn Connection Limit 2021

In 2021, the current LinkedIn connection limit is 30,000 connections. Does that mean the amount of followers you can get stops at 30,000?

Absolutely not. Even after you reach the LinkedIn connection limit, you can still rack up followers, no problem.

I’ve seen some folks who have 50,000+ followers, which is a real accomplishment if you asked me. You need to use a lot of hashtags to get there.

How Do You Rack Up Connections In 2021?

If you’re asking what the limit to LinkedIn connections is, then you probably want to get there yourself one day, right? The truth is, LinkedIn connections are the lifeblood to organic reach on the platform. They’re like followers.

The goal here is to not just get any connections. The goal is to get the right connections.

You can do this by taking a look at who liked your recent LinkedIn posts. Just go to one of your recent posts, click on the number of “likes,” and wait for a little box to pop up.

It will show all the people who just liked your recent post. Like this.

Okay, so there’s a little secret I’ll let you in on.. LinkedIn puts all the “likers” who are not currently your connections down at the very bottom of this window. To view the people who are not currently connected with you, just scroll all the way down, right click, then press “open page in a new tab.”

This will open up their profile page, and there you’ll find out if you’re connected to them or not. You’re probably not. This works on desktop and on LinkedIn mobile, by the way.

It’s then that you’ll have a good opportunity to connect with them and send a message saying “Thanks Jay for liking my recent LinkedIn article about _____, I’d love to connect with you!”

They get a personal message, you get another connection (one closer to 30,000), and everybody is happy.

The more connections you have, the better. The more personal the connection request, the better, as they will probably remember you and come back to interact with your posts again. If you’re having trouble figuring out what kind of posts to create, then just take what you’ve written on Medium (if you write there) and copy + paste it into a LinkedIn article.

That’s my answer to “What’s the LinkedIn connections limit in 2021” question.
